Les Miserables opened on Broadway on November 6, 2006 and was originally opened for a six month limited engagement but was extended for an additional nine month, due to strong box-office sales. It was announced by producer Cameron Mackintosh that the show will now close on Sunday, January 6, 2008.

Three former cast members return to The Fantasticks

The Fantasticks will welcome back three of its former cast members in late October and earlier November. Burke Moses and Doug Ullman Jr. will be back in the show starting October 29th in the roles of El Gallo and Matt respectively and then on November 5th Whitney Bashor will be back in the role of Luisa.
Another new cast member to join Broadway’s Chicago

The role of Billy Flynn in the Broadway production of Chicago will be played by Maxwell Caulfield starting November 19, 2007. The role is currently being played by Brian McKnight. Also joining the cast of Chicago the same day will be Vincent Pastore as Amos Hart and Aida Turturro as Mama Morton.
Young Frankenstein star temporarily out of show

Roger Bart who stars as Dr. Fredric Frankenstein in Young Frankenstein currently on Broadway is temporarily out of the show due to back problems. According to a press statement, Bart is responding to treatment and is expected to return to the show soon. Matthew LaBanca is currently taking on the role in his absence.
Cast of Grease to perform on “Good Morning America”

Join Maxx Crumm (Danny), Laura Ones (Sandy) and the rest of the cast of the Broadway hit show Grease as they perform on the show “Good Morning America” on October 29th. The performance is scheduled to air during the 8-9 AM hour.
I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change Star headed for Jersey Boys

Bryan McElroy who recently stared in the Off-Broadway hit I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change will be heading to the Chicago stage to star in Jersey Boys as Tommy DeVito.
Laurence Fishburne back on Broadway

Laurence Fishburne will be back on Broadway next year in the one-man show Thurgood. Thurgood is about the late Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall. The show will be running March 30-July 20 with an opening set for April 20th.
