The Broadway production of The Phantom of the Opera will be getting a new cast member starting December 8. Elizabeth Layacano will be playing the Christine alternate tomorrow December 8 and will be performing the leading role twice a week.

Loyacano previously played the role of Christine in the Las Vegas Production of Phantom. Her stage credits also include The Women in White, Dracula, and Oklahoma!.

The rest of the cast includes Howard McGillin, Jennifer Hope Wills, Tim Martin Gleason, George Lee Andrews, David Cryer, Heather McFadden, Wayne Hobbs, and Marilyn Caskey. The show will celebrate its 20th anniversary on January 26; it is the longest running show in Broadway history.
