The currently revival of La Cage aux Folles at London’s The Menier Chocolate Factory  which was schedule to begin November 23 will now open November 27 and the official opening has been changed from December 3 to December 13.

The reason for delay is due to as much as half of the cast having chest infections during rehearsals.

La Cage aux Folles has music and lyrics by Jerry Herman and a book by Harvey Fierstein. The current cast includes Tara Hugo (Jacquline), Neil McDermott (Jean-Michel) and Jason Pennycooke (Jacob).

La Cage aux Folles is currently booking until March 8, 2008.

A Catered Affair which is currently in its pre-Broadway run has extended its limited engagement at San Diego’s Old Globe theatre for a second time.

The show was supposed to end on Oct. 28^th but then was extended until November 4^th. The show will now be extended for another week through November 11^th.

A Catered Affair features a book by Harvey Fierstein, who is a 4 time Tony winner, and a score by songwriter John Bucchino will be arriving at the Walter Kerr Theatre in Manhattan on March 25, 2008 for previews. Opening night for the show is schedule for April 17^th.

The current cast includes Harvey Fierstein, Faith Prince, Tom Wopat, Leslie Kritzer and Matt Cavenaugh.
