Writer Jack Heifner has a new musical that is set to hit Broadway in the fall of 2008. Vanities which has music and lyrics by David Kirshenbaum will be directed by Judith Ivey who will also star in the production. The show will be produced by Junkyard Dog Productions and Bartner/Jenkins. The rest of the cast and the theatre were not announced at this time.

Vanities is based on the 1976 hit comedy by Heifner that ran Off- Broadway for 1,786 performances. Vanities tells the story of a comic journey of three bubbly Texas teens from young cheerleaders to college sorority sisters to housewives, liberated women, and beyond.
