Seven of the current cast members of the hit musical Legally Blonde have all extended their contracts through June 2008. This includes Laura Bell Bundy, Richard H. Blake, Christian Borle, Orfeh, Michael Rupert, Nikki Snelson and Kate Shindle.

Legally Blonde officially opened on Broadway on April 29^th and is based on the popular 2001 movie of the same name about a ditzy sorority girl who decides to go to Harvard Law School in order to win back her great love who is looking for a more serious girl to marry.

On October 13^th Legally Blonde the musical premiered on MTV and was seen by about 1.27 million home viewers. Including the re-airings of the show Legally Blonde was seen by a total of 12.5 million viewers. It was also the most watched television program of audience members ages 12-34 during the 1-4PM time slot on October 13^th.

MTV broadcasted the Broadway musical in its entirety as well as a special pre-show, “Pink Carpet” hosted by the cast of the MTV hit series “The Hills”.

Legally Blonde is the musical based on the very popular 2001 movie by the same name, starring Reese Witherspoon. Elle Woods is the shows heroine who is a ditzy college student that decides to attend Harvard Law School when the love of her life Warner breaks up with her because she isn’t “serious” enough.
