Young Frankenstein soundtrack to be released in December

The cast of the revival of Broadway’s Young Frankenstein will be heading to the recording studio on November 12.

Roger Bart who stars as Dr. Fredric Frankenstein in Young Frankenstein currently on Broadway is temporarily out of the show due to back problems. According to a press statement, Bart is responding to treatment and is expected to return to the show soon. Matthew LaBanca is currently taking on the role in his absence.
Broadway’s Beacon Awards recipients announced

Roger Bart, Danny Burstein, Bebe Neuwirth and Rebecca Luker will be honored with Broadway Beacon Awards at the Inside Broadway’s 25th Anniversary Benefit on Monday October 15th at 6PM. The benefit will be held at the McGraw Hill Building Auditorium. The event will be hosted by Pia Linstrom and award presenters include director Robert Jess Roth, actress Karen Ziemba, and playwright A.R. Gurney.
