Dr. Seuss’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas!- The Musical begins previews today November 1st for it’s limited engagement run on Broadway at the St. James Theatre. The show will officially open November 9th and runs through January 8, 2008.
The cast will include Patrick Page as the Grinch, Ed Dixon as Old Maxx, Rusty Ross as Young Maxx, Darin DePaul as Grandpa Seth Who, Aaron Galligan-Stierle as JP Who, Tari Kelly as Mama Who, Caroline London as Cindy Lou Who and Jan Neuberger as Athena Ripka.
The musical is based on the famous Dr. Seuss book, by Theodore Geisel.
The musical, Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas!, according to press notes, is narrated by Max the Dog, who relates “the Grinch’s fiendish plan to steal Christmas form the holiday-loving Whos. However, the Grinch soon discovers there’s more to Christmas than he bargained for.”
